The Treehouse in Utrecht emerges as a visionary concept for modern workspaces, with over 16,000 square meters dedicated to offices and meeting venues. This renewed corporate structure embraces the essence of a gathering place—a space where the community can convene and share ideas in the conference rooms. The entrance leads visitors to a 28-meter-high central hall with the symbolic tree as the core of the building.
Ditt’s design of the carpets in the restaurant, entrance, and meeting rooms creatively interprets shadows and imprints of trees, each linked to the meeting rooms’ nomenclature. Adding to this sustainable narrative, the acoustic PET felt panels cut into custom shapes contribute significantly to the space, enhancing both the acoustic quality and the aesthetics. These custom panels provide an acoustic ambiance that complements the architectural philosophy of the Treehouse.
